First introduced by Siren in 2002, the Cherry Bomb surfboard is an explosive little twin-fin with a soulful 70's mentality. Low rocker and generous thickness make this model very fast down the line while a subtle bonzer-like double concave in the tail helps it to accelerate out of turns. The spade-shaped tail also helps the Cherry Bomb to surf more vertical than the typical round tail, "V" bottom retro shape.
Each year, Siren offers a limited edition run of surfboards featuring CS Composites construction technology that incorporates specialized glass, carbon and organic-fiber "surfacing-veil" components to yield the most impressive strength-to-weight ratio achievable, while preserving a user friendly flex characteristic. Translation: Durable, ultra light weight boards that catch waves easily, surf super fast, and turn on a dime.
The Compositech CF (carbon fiber)™ version features a graphical "surfacing-veil" layer that not only looks good but creates a superior bond between the core and the glass composite shell, resulting in minimal weight without sacrificing compressive strength or flex response; while a band of carbon fiber sandwiching the rails results in super durability and a skatey, alive feel underfoot. The carbon fiber rails add such resiliency to the rails that you can literally beat on the rails without producing a fracture -- though we don't recommend it!
This mode of construction also equates to unreal wave catch-ability for a surfboard of this size. On the wave face, the Cherry Bomb feels fast and skatey, jamming through turns and skating over flat spots. More than a few of our riders have abandoned their longboards for the Cherry Bomb on all but the smallest days.
"The Cherry Bomb is the ultimate in small wave chick sticks. No more lolagaging around on a longboard for me!"
Available in sizes up to 6'4. Truly an unbelievable board.
